Private Christian Counselling and Psychotherapy for individuals and couples
about
about
about
For the past decade I’ve worked in private practice with both couples and individuals, creating a space where people feel genuinely safe, heard and understood. My practice grew out of watching many Christians wrestle with their connection to themselves, to God and to one another, and wanting to offer a place of real healing and growth.
Grounded in attachment theory, and informed by Internal Family Systems, I weave their insights into every session, helping clients recognise and transform the patterns that keep them stuck. As a father to three young girls, I know first-hand how the demands of parenthood can strain even the strongest partnership, and I’m passionate about helping families find their way back to each other.
If you’re struggling, know that I care deeply about your well-being and am committed to helping you step into the life you were created for.

My approach: Therapy with me is a collaborative journey. We work side‑by‑side. Bring your story, your courage and the readiness to grow. Together we decide what change looks like and how to pursue it.

Attachment‑informed & parts‑focused: I start by helping you map the attachment patterns that shape how you relate to God, yourself and the important people in your life. Drawing on a Christ‑centred adaptation of Internal Family Systems (IFS), we then explore your “parts”, the protective, sometimes conflicting voices inside you. As you befriend and integrate these parts, shame loosens its grip and new freedom becomes possible.

Spirit‑led, biblically grounded (as much or as little as you choose): I am a follower of Jesus, yet I always take my cue from you. If bringing prayer or Scripture into the session feels meaningful, we’ll do so; if you prefer a purely psychological focus, that choice is fully respected. Either way, every session is anchored in compassion, professional ethics and evidence‑based practice.

Safe space for complex stories: Whether you’re a church leader carrying hidden burdens, a couple torn by value conflicts, or an individual wrestling with shame, this is a place where you can be fully known without judgement. My passion is to see families and communities heal as people become whole.
If you’re ready to step into that journey, I’m here, compassionate, direct and committed to helping you live the life you were created for.

A & R | Gary supported us through one of the hardest seasons in our marriage. He made us feel safe, heard, and grounded in faith. Over two years, his gentle guidance helped us reconnect and grow stronger together. We’re so grateful.”

SP | " I've worked with Gary for three years. He made me feel safe and understood, and I shared things I never imagined I could. With his help, I began to piece my life back together after a rocky relationship with alcohol. I’d recommend him to anyone. Cheers man"

Jo | "I’d been to counselling before, but working with Gary was different. He helped me understand parts of myself I hadn’t seen clearly before. Highly recommend.”
